Two old friends, Shan and Justin, approached me at the start of the year to let me in on a secret they were planning..an engagement party that would be a surprise wedding! I couldn't say no; what an awesome idea and so much fun!
The cocktail style "engagement party" was held at the Pemberton Mill Hall on a winters' evening for a guest list of over 100 people. Rustically styled with wine barrels, festoon lighting, wooden cross back stools and lots of candles the evening started out with the couple greeting their guests before the bride-to-be slipped out for a change of outfit. Not long after the celebrant called guests attention to the front of the room and asked them to make an "aisle like" space in the crowd, the music started, the stage curtains were parted revealing a signing table, back drop and candles in hurricanes and the groom and bridal party took position. Here comes the bride!
The festivities continued after the ceremony with the new Mr & Mrs! Congratulations Justin & Shan xo
