Emily & Josh
1st November 2014
Lakeside Garden Retreat & Pemberton Mill Hall
Emily & Josh contacted me early in 2014 in regards to their Pemberton wedding that they had begun planning. The hall was booked and they had lots of awesome ideas but wanted someone to help pull it all together and work on their behalf as they are based in Melbourne. I am so happy we found each other as these guys were so much fun and fantastic to work with!
The design briefing was held at the Pemberton Mill Hall. We discussed things they love and how they wanted their wedding to feel; brights, vintage with a twist. I suggested some ideas and then put together a proposal.
From there we communicated via email, Pinterest and Instagram. Distance was no issue. We even met up when I travelled to Melbourne in the middle of the year!
The details for the ceremony and reception included; aisle door entrance, vintage furniture and mismatched wooden chairs, black and white polka dot runners, bright florals in gold masons, temporary tattoo favours, fuchsia “bow tie” napkins tied with ribbon, dance floor installation of oversized balloons and paper lanterns. It definitely transformed the mill hall!
The bride is very creative and made many of the details herself including name tags, children’s colouring books, photo booth backdrop and sign writing the chalkboards. She definitely is one talented lady and it was great working with someone who loves “the details” as much as me.
This was an epic wedding full of, not just beautiful details, but beautiful people who had a wedding day that truly reflected them as people. Congratulations Emily & Josh!
